Application the SBAS/EGNOS Corrections in UAV Positioning

The paper presents a new concept of determining the resultant position UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) based on individual SBAS (Satellite-Based Augmentation System) determinations from all available EGNOS (European Geostationary Navigation Overlay Service) satellites for SPP (Single Point Positioning) code method. To achieve this, authors propose weighted mean model to integrate data. was inverse square error along component axes BLh ellipsoidal frame. calculations included navigation data S123, S126, S136 satellites. In turn, determined using Scilab v.6.0.0 software. Based proposed computational strategy, values coordinates’ standard deviation were better than 0.2 m (e.g., 0.0000018° = 0.01? in angular measurement). Additionally, numerical solution used made it possible increase UAV’s accuracy by about 29% Latitude, 46% Longitude and 72% height compared positioning GPS receiver. It is also worth noting that calculated improved 21 ÷ 50% arithmetic model’s solution. can be concluded research method allows significant improvement with use augmentation systems.
